This year SD Cibeureum received a support from Department of Education, Sukabumi district to build one class room. As we know that the school only has 4 rooms included the room for the school principal and four teachers.
After Cibening village received electricity, the school has a chance to use an audio and video equipment to study. The students now become more enthusiastic after they received many trophies and awards from science competition. The students need more than books, they also need TV and computers to support their activities.
Since Goldteak planted the trees in Cibening village nine years ago, Petrolink always support the project by doing the CSR (Corporate Social responsibility). Visiting the school to donate books, bags, school shoes, school uniforms or milk and cookies for the students and children in the village.
This month, Petrolink donated two computers to the school. The computers are set up more simple so the students easily use to practice. Although they are still elementary students they can study mathematic, science or social subjects like English or culture (traditional dance) or even sport through TV and computer.
By having computers, the teachers and the students are expected to get more knowledge beside the subjects they learn from the books. The school principle, teachers, parents and students appreciated for the donation.
Beside giving donation to the school, Petrolink also gave an attention on environment, 100 trees will be planted in India as a pilot project and along with GoldTeak also help to repair the bridge in the Cibening village by giving donation to the village officials for the bridge repairment.
