New Works on Land:
- Workers do spraying by using periodical insecticide to control caterpillar attack, insect and grasshopper. Insectide being applied is Curacron or decis, active barium triflumuron 25 %, each with dose 5-10 cc in 5 liters water. Till now, have never met insect attack or caterpillar seriously. But, this problems require attention to arrest pest attack which more hard. In the beginning of this rainy season usually there are caterpillar attack and proven some trees have started attacked.
- Workers do making and dig the holes 15-20 cm all around teak trees and fruits for preparation periodic fertilization in the early of this rains.
- Aqueduct from project to the village was improved, this to prevent erosion and floods.
General Condition of Land
Condition of the existing soil in Cibening is less friable because the food/ nutrient in the soil incomplete again.
Hence it required fertilization in the early rainy season at this November 2007. If the action of fertilization to add material/ soil nutrient is not done soon, so teak plants or fruits will grow unable to perfect.
Soil being desired by crop is having structure friable; there is pore space which can be filled by ground water and air.
Ground water and air are very importance for growth crop root. This situation hardly race growth of soil microorganism and it is important in process of decay of organic material in soil.
Therefore, to improve this soil structure suggested to be given organic and un-organic fertilizer periodically.
