From the side of the road, we can see Elementary School “ Cibeureum” has a small and simple building, with five rooms, a small veranda and a front yard. One room for the Principal, teachers and administration office, the other four rooms are for the class rooms. The six grades students should share the four rooms, small classes should be joined together in one room.
SD Cibeureum is a government school, In 2013-2014 it has 79 students and five teachers included the Principal. Such as other schools in villages, the school has limited facilities. It does not have enough class rooms, no library, no sport and music facilities, and enough educational aids.
Although it has very limited facilities, since the last five years SD Cibeureum has got many achievements. The Principal, the teachers and the students have been working together and show the significant progress. Goldteak encourages the Principal and the teachers to motivate the students to study and to take championships in Kecamatan (sub-district) and Kabupaten (district). Up to now, the students already collected many trophies from many championships (science and mathematic, social science, art and Islam subject).
Last year, Goldteak and Petrolink donated several computers to be used as educational aids, so in the near future all students are better prepared to get more achievements. Goldteak has proved that The CSR program was designed for the students and other children in Cibening village as a real contribution from the company to the community.
