It has been almost four months since Cibeureum Elementary School students are learning from home. They are not studying in school because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The government has created an online Home Learning program, twice a week they meet with class teachers via mobile phones. They are given self-study assignments, and when they meet the teacher their work is checked and given directions for new lessons.
Since then, the social life of the children in Cibening village has changed, beside they have to self-study they also have to follow health protocols; cover mouth & nose with a mask when going outside or meeting people. They had to wash their hands with soap frequently and had to shower quickly when they got home. And most importantly they have to keep their distance from anyone when they meet, walk or gather. It is recommended to have nutritious food to stay healthy during pandemic time.
PT Goldteak, through its Social Responsibility program, has distributed masks, soap and clean water as well as counseling on health protocols to the community & students. Until now, Cibening village is still in a green zone, meaning that no one infected or died by Covid-19.
